We're back in Chengdu again. This time we are visiting two of Chengdu's greatest projects. The 都江堰 and 青城山.
都江堰 is an irrigation project dating back into the dynasty era of China and it served as a means of channel the water that comes down from the mountains which is the only major source of water for an inland place like Sichuan. The projects comprises of flood gates to tame the water and various channels that spread out and flow in different directions into Chengdu, providing the water source to everyone.
The climb up 青城山 was very tiring and in fact one of the more tiring peaks I ever ascended. We did not reach the summit as time did not allow for that. But when we came down our legs were all soft and wobbly, I so needed to rest my legs.
I knocked out after reaching the campus, was simply too tired and needed a good night's rest.
